Re Review of Section 25 of the Freedom of Information Act 1997.

Dear Commissioner,

I would like to inform you that pursuant to section 25 (7) of the Act, the Taoiseach, the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, and the Minister for Finance on 24th January 2009, carried out a review of the operation of the Act, for the year ended April 2008. The certifictes in question are those issued by the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform on 11 July 2007, 20 February 2008 and 14 March 2008.

Having completed the review, the Taoiseach, the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, and the Minister for Finance are satisfied that it is not necessary to request revocation of any of the three certificates which were the subject of the review - copies of the forms signed by the reviewers to that effect are attached.
