Appeals received

During 2008, 12 appeals were received by my Office. Four decisions were issued, two of which related to cases on hands at the start of the year. A further five appeals were deemed invalid, on the grounds that requests for a valid internal review had not been received by the public authorities concerned. Essentially, the appeals to my Office were made prematurely in those cases. Five cases were being dealt with at the end of 2008.
