11.05.2006 Launch of the Information Commissioner's Annual Report 2005

At the launch of her Annual Report for 2005, published today, the Information Commissioner, Emily O'Reilly notes that despite the restrictions that have resulted from the amendments made to the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act in 2003, and the subsequent introduction of "up-front" fees, the Act continues to achieve positive and notable outcomes both for individual requesters and for society generally.

20.01.2006 Information Commissioner Publishes Section 32 Report

The Information Commissioner has decided to make available her report to the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Finance and the Public Service, which she made under Section 32 of the FOI Act. The Report was presented to the Committee on 22 December 2005.
